Schools Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, we accept official purchase orders from public and private schools, districts, universities and government agencies.

Add your items to the cart and click the green Purchase Order button at the bottom of the cart page. You'll get an itemized PDF by email to submit for approval, and your cart is saved. Once your PO is approved, email it to support@thesimplestencil.com and your order goes straight into production. Read our PO guidelines.

Yes. You can download our current W-9 from the School Purchase Order Information page. If your district needs a vendor application completed, email it to support@thesimplestencil.com.

No sales tax is applied to school purchases. Florida schools just need to send us their tax exemption certificate (Form DR-14) so we can remove tax from the order.

Yes. Painted block walls in schools usually have enough layers of paint to be smooth, and our decals are made to work on them. Press the vinyl firmly into the surface with the included squeegee. Raw block, brick and rough stucco won't hold well.

Every order includes a free practice decal to test your wall, or order our $1 sample pack first.

Yes. Send us your logo or mascot file (vector AI, EPS or SVG is best, high-resolution PNG or PDF also works) with the size and colors you'd like, and we'll send a free sketch and quote.

Choose from over 60 standard colors. If you need your exact school colors, premium color options are available on request for an upcharge; send us your color specs or Pantone numbers for options and pricing. Start your request here.

Our decals are removable and damage-free on standard school paint, so teachers can refresh a classroom theme every year. Peel slowly from a corner, and warm the vinyl with a hairdryer if it resists.

Orders ship within 1 to 3 business days (large orders or orders needing sketch approval may take longer). Planning for the first day of school or an event like Black History Month? Order a few weeks early, or contact us about rush options.

We'll make it right. If your order arrives damaged, email support@thesimplestencil.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the damaged decal and the shipping package. We'll send a free replacement or a full refund.

Having trouble during installation? Send us photos of the problem and your wall surface. We can often send replacement letters, words or a new decal, and we're happy to help you troubleshoot.

Please keep your decal and packaging until we've confirmed a resolution. Our 30-day 100% satisfaction guarantee requires proof of the issue, either photos or the returned decal. See our returns policy for details.

Still have a question? Contact us. We usually reply the same business day.
