Are vinyl wall quotes safe to use in kitchens with heat and humidity?

The Simple Stencil’s high-quality vinyl is resilient and works beautifully in kitchens. While they hold up great to everyday household conditions, we simply recommend placing them on surfaces that do not get excessively wet or directly exposed to high, continuous heat (like right on a stove hood) to ensure the adhesive lasts for years.

How do I clean the walls around my vinyl kitchen decals?

You can gently wipe your walls and the matte vinyl decal with a lightly damp cloth or sponge. You should avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scrubbing pads directly on the decal, as this could catch the die-cut edges or damage the beautiful matte finish.

Will removing the decals ruin or peel the paint off my walls?

No, not when removed correctly on a properly prepared surface. Our specialized water-based adhesive is engineered to release cleanly from standard interior paints without leaving sticky residue or peeling the paint. However, to guarantee a damage-free removal, the paint beneath the decal must not be peeling or chipping prior to installation, and newly painted walls must be allowed to fully cure for at least 14 days before the decal is applied.
