Yes, our versatile wall decals stick wonderfully to any smooth surface. Many of our customers apply our family monograms and dining room quotes to glass doors, mirrors, finished wood, metal, and oversized DIY wooden boards to create custom rustic signs. We do recommend that your wood surfaces be sanded smooth and dust-free. We have had customers successfully apply polyurethane coats over their wood projects after applying their decals.

No. For our premium vinyl lettering to look like a seamless, hand-painted masterpiece, it requires a relatively smooth, non-porous surface. Heavily textured walls (such as skip-trowel, knockdown, or rough orange peel textures common in formal dining rooms) and textured wallpapers create tiny air pockets underneath the vinyl. This prevents the specialized adhesive from making 100% contact with the wall, which can cause the delicate edges of the script lettering to lift over time.
